Oh what Josh ...

Its one of those days when i reach office and something i read/see surges emotions in me. Its what the doctors call 'Apoplexy'. This is when the oxygen stops going to your brain and you get this surge of unconciousness that stays with you for quite sometime.

I just saw this news webcast on ABC news. It was about India Rising. One of the revered icons of the alphabet in this century - Thomas Friedman has already expressed his most gratifying thoughts on how China and India can take on the western world.

China has the advantage on one end of the spectrum - manufaturing. Today they arent in a position to solidify any other industry. Not only that as India gets richer - china will get older. There are 700 MILLION indians below the age of 35. Thats 2 and a Half times the US population itself. Imagine the sheer SIZE of intellectual capital we have. As another professor puts it - India is on the verge of a revolution. It is starting from the 15 year olds who are eating at Mc Donalds, Drinking Coke, watching the Simpsons and listening to Bon Jovi. India is like a bottle of shampagne that has been shaken for the last 50 years. Now the cork is about to pop. Do you want to be in the way of that cork? You'd rather be behind the bottle.

We are blamed for corrupt politicians, a failing infrastructure, poverty everywhere, Corrupt systems and most of all - insolvent governments. But inspite of all that - we are growing.

50 years of pent up frustration and hopes. so much of ambition. This is the time India is rising. Now the next 50 years have been clearly marked out for us. Its our time now.
